Paper trading lets you simulate real Polymarket trades without spending any money. Every feature in Kuroko works in paper mode — the AI has live market data, edge scoring runs across 1,000+ markets, and your simulated orders use the actual best-ask price from the order book at the moment you trade. When a market resolves, your paper P&L updates automatically. No wallet. No API key. No setup. Paper mode is on by default from the moment you open Kuroko.
Paper P&L resolves automatically. When Polymarket settles a market, Kuroko checks the outcome and updates your trade history with the actual result — win or loss — without any action from you.

How simulations work

When you simulate a trade, Kuroko fetches the current best-ask price from the Polymarket CLOB (Central Limit Order Book) before opening the order modal. This means your simulated cost reflects what you would actually pay in the live market — not a cached or estimated price. Sizing and return calculations are accurate to real market conditions at the time of the simulation.

How to paper trade from the AI chat

1

Open the AI chat

Navigate to the home screen at /. The AI chat loads immediately. Your connection status in the top navigation shows Paper Mode when no wallet is connected.
2

Ask for a trade recommendation

Type a question or use a slash command like /trade or /edge. The AI analyzes live market data and surfaces opportunities with reasoning.Example queries:
  • Find me a good trade under $20
  • What are the biggest movers today?
  • /edge — scores all markets and returns the top 3 opportunities
3

Review the trade card

When the AI recommends a trade, a trade card appears inline in the chat. It shows the market, side (YES or NO), share count, price per share, and the AI’s reasoning.
4

Click Simulate

Click Simulate on the trade card to record the paper trade. Kuroko logs the trade with the current CLOB price and tracks it to resolution. You will see it in your trade history on the portfolio page.
You can also simulate trades from the trade dashboard at /trade — click Simulate Bet on any market card to open the order modal with the live best-ask price pre-filled.

Trade history in paper mode

Every simulated trade is stored in your browser via localStorage. Kuroko keeps up to 200 trade records. Each record includes:
  • Market question and side (YES or NO)
  • Shares, price per share, and total cost
  • Timestamp
  • Resolved P&L (once the market settles)
Your trade history is visible on the portfolio page at /portfolio, where you can also see aggregate stats — total deployed, realized P&L, win rate, and average return — and export the full log as a CSV.

Moving from paper to live trading

When you are ready to place real orders, connect a wallet from the top navigation bar. Your existing paper trade history and position guards carry over — nothing is reset. Live trades are recorded alongside your paper history, and the same aggregate stats update to include both. The same trade limits apply in paper and live mode for consistency:
LimitValue
Maximum shares per trade10,000
Maximum cost per trade$10,000
  • No wallet required
  • No API key required
  • Trades recorded to localStorage
  • P&L resolves automatically when markets settle
  • Full trade history and CSV export available
